What You Will Work On

Operational Leadership

• Lead daily Selecting Operations safely and efficiently.

• Own safety, quality, service, productivity, and cost results.

• Plan the movement of product and people based on volume.

• Act when results miss expectations and find ways to improve flow and cut waste.

Inventory Planning & Control

• Support accurate inventory planning, control and integrity

• Spot inventory risks and work with cross-functional teams to resolve them.

• Understand how inventory accuracy affects downstream operations and the customer.

People Leadership & Development

• Lead, coach, and develop athletes.

• Set clear expectations and hold the team accountable for performance and behaviors.

• Build capability through feedback, training, and growth opportunities.

• Create a respectful, connected team where people own its success.

• Conduct follow-up meetings and be proactive in assessing the quality of work performed by your athletes

• Motivate and encourage the team to successfully achieve key operational targets (productivity, safety, quality, teamwork, and culture)

• Counsel athletes on conflicting issues while interacting with HR for best solutions and documenting results

Systems, Data & Decision Making

• Use systems and data to understand performance and turn it into action.

• Identify trends, gaps, and root causes.

• Use sound judgment across competing priorities.

Cross-Functional Partnership

• Partner with other operations and support functions.

• Understand upstream and downstream impacts of your decisions.

• Build strong relationships while staying accountable to the business.

• Attend workflow meetings to plan strategy, discuss pertinent information and share best practices with teammates. 

Business Understanding

• Connect daily execution to business priorities and customer experience.

• Weigh labor, productivity, inventory, storage, and throughput decisions.

• Balance the needs of the athlete, the operation, and the business.

• Maintain high level of floor presence to direct the flow of work and make the necessary movement of the team.

What You Bring

• Experience leading people in a fast-paced operations environment.

• Bachelor’s degree or related discipline and at least 3 years management experience in a distribution or manufacturing environment; or an additional 2 years in lieu of a degree is preferred plus years of experience managing employees required 

• PC skills required, experience with Excel, Word, SAP, WMS, Workday and UKG would be a plus. 

• Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills, attentive to details, work well under pressure and able to meet deadlines required. Manage multiple priorities with operational discipline

• Strong understanding of automated distribution center operating systems, product flow, inventory, and labor planning.

• Proven ability to coach and develop others.

• Strongly skilled in communication (written and verbal), relationship-building, problem solving and decision-making

• Experience in working cross functionally and influencing without direct authority.
