INTERVENTIONAL RADIOLOGIST

Overview of the Position:

• Location: UPMC Hamot

• Work Schedule: Daytime hours with on-call duties

• Compensation Package Includes:

Our organization, located in Erie, Pennsylvania, is excited to present a new opportunity for a skilled Interventional Radiologist to join a well-established practice. This role encompasses a wide range of minimally invasive, image-guided procedures, including therapies for liver and kidney cancers, as well as advanced vascular and biliary interventions. You will utilize cutting-edge CT, MRI, ultrasound, and angiographic technologies to provide innovative, patient-focused care in collaboration with the esteemed UPMC Hamot Hilman Cancer Center.

• Role Balance: Focus on Interventional Radiology procedures with occasional rotations into Diagnostic Radiology. The Interventional Radiologist will primarily manage the ED list when assigned. Day travel to regional clinics may be required.
• Interventional Procedures Include: Angiography, angioplasty, bone marrow biopsy, embolization, IVC filters, GAE, TACE, ablation, mediport placement, biliary/nephrostomy drainage, feeding tube insertion, kyphoplasty, vertebroplasty, nerve blocks, epidural injections, stroke treatment, aneurysm/AVM repair, spinal fracture intervention, paracentesis, thoracentesis, and more.
• On-Call Coverage: Weekday evening coverage at a ratio of 1:4, weekend coverage also at 1:4.
• Collaborate with experienced Interventional Radiology physicians and advanced practice providers .

Qualifications:

• MD/DO degree from an accredited medical institution.
• American Board Eligible, American Board Certified, or Canadian Board Certified in Interventional Radiology, with strong skills in cross-sectional imaging and the capability to perform a wide array of general radiology procedures.
• Eligibility to secure an unrestricted Pennsylvania Medical License and obtain necessary credentials.
• DEA certification required.
