Industrial Polisher

Company Background Our client is a family-founded, privately owned manufacturer of commercial food service equipment. They are an industry leader with over $200M in annual revenue, providing a range of American-made equipment solutions to a large portfolio of B2B customers and accounts. The Position As a Polisher, you will be responsible for grinding, blending, polishing, and finishing light-gauge (14-18 gauge) stainless steel components to meet quality standards and customer specifications. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, the ability to read engineering drawings, and experience using a variety of hand and power tools (e.g. angle grinders, etc.) You will play a key role in ensuring finished products meet appearance, functionality, and quality expectations while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. Primary responsibilities include: Polish, blend, buff, and finish stainless steel surfaces to meet quality standards and customer specifications. Operate high-speed grinders, cut-off wheels, polishing wheels, hammers, and handheld finishing tools safely and effectively. Inspect finished parts for scratches, dents, weld marks, and other surface imperfections. Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and diagrams to ensure accurate workmanship. Measure and identify materials to ensure compliance with production requirements. Visually examine products for defects and verify the acceptability of finished surfaces. Qualifications and Candidate Background The ideal candidate will have: High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in polishing and metal finishing in a manufacturing, fabrication, automotive, or related industrial environment preferred. Experience working with grinders, polishing equipment, hand tools, and power tools. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical documentation. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality finished products. Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards. Location This is a fulltime position in Houston, TX.
