PeopleReady is hiring Groundskeepers to help keep the Western Idaho Fair clean, safe, and welcoming for thousands of guests. In this role, you'll be assigned a designated zone of the fairgrounds and will be responsible for maintaining the overall cleanliness and appearance of that area throughout your shift. From trash removal to responding to spills and keeping public spaces tidy, you'll help ensure visitors have a positive fair experience.

Pay Rate:

The pay rate for this job is $16 - $16 / hour*

What you'll be doing as a Groundskeeper :

• Maintain the cleanliness of an assigned fairgrounds zone from start to finish during your shift

• Collect litter and empty trash receptacles before they become full

• Replace trash liners and transport waste to designated disposal areas

• Wipe down picnic tables, benches, and other public seating areas

• Sweep walkways and remove debris from sidewalks, entrances, and common areas

• Respond quickly to spills and other cleanliness issues to help maintain a safe environment

• Monitor your assigned area for cleanliness, stocking needs, and potential safety hazards

• Work independently while communicating with supervisors when additional assistance is needed

• Perform other general cleaning and grounds maintenance duties as assigned

Job requirements:

• Applicants must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for employment with PeopleReady

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.

• Ability to frequently bend, stoop, push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds.

• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.

• Able to work independently and take ownership of an assigned area.

• Dependable with strong attention to detail and a commitment to keeping the fairgrounds clean.

• Closed-toe shoes are required. Other PPE may be required depending on the assignment.

• Drug testing required
