Marketing Counsel

As a key legal partner to the marketing organization, the full-time Marketing Counsel will provide real-time legal advice on marketing initiatives, oversee compliance with advertising regulations, and support the development of promotional strategies in a remote environment. Key responsibilities Advise marketing, brand, design, paid media, and product teams throughout the marketing lifecycle, ensuring compliance and facilitating campaign progress Guide the responsible use of advertising technology and consumer data, advising on privacy laws and required disclosures Structure agreements for creator and influencer collaborations, ensuring adherence to FTC guidelines and managing content rights Required qualifications J.D. and active membership in good standing with a U.S. state bar 8+ years of legal experience with at least 6 years focused on marketing, advertising, and/or ad tech law Deep understanding of advertising and consumer protection laws, including FTC Act and state privacy regulations Strong drafting and negotiation skills for various agreements related to marketing partnerships Proficiency with AI tools to enhance contract review and marketing workflows
