Certified Medical Assistant (Rheumatology)

(Will consider a non-certified MA with at least 3-5 years primary care experience) Location Office location: HVMG Rheumatology – Monaca/Center HV Medical Neighborhood (behind Beaver Valley Mall). Work Hours Work hours: Currently 4‑10 hour shifts – Monday through Thursday, 7:30 – 6 pm. NO weekends or holidays. Responsibilities Collects vital signs and patient history, collects specimens and performs basic laboratory tests, administers injections and medications as directed by physician in addition to other clinical tasks. Administrative duties include ordering supplies, updating/maintaining medical records, obtaining referrals and scheduling appointments. Requirements High School graduate or equivalent. Medical Assistant Certification (i.e., AAMA CMA, AMT RMA, NHA CCMA, or NCCT NCMA). CPR Certification. Proficient in venipuncture. Successful completion of applicable clearances as outlined in Human Resources policy HR-106 within 90 days of commencing employment. Preferred Medical Assistant diploma or degree program.
