We are looking for more than someone who can manage inventory and oversee daily warehouse activities. Our leaders are expected to serve their teams, act with urgency, stay curious, support the success of the entire company, and take pride in the business as if it were their own.Position OverviewThe Warehouse Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing all warehouse, inventory, shipping, receiving, and logistics activities at our Sparks location. This position leads and develops warehouse personnel, drives inventory accuracy, ensures safe and efficient operations, and works closely with Parts, Service, and Sales to support our customers and the overall success of the business.This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who sees problems as opportunities to improve, takes responsibility for results, and is willing to step in wherever needed to help the team succeed.Key Responsibilities· Lead daily warehouse, inventory, shipping, and receiving operations with a strong sense of urgency and commitment to customer service.· Supervise, mentor, and develop warehouse employees through servant leadership, setting clear expectations while helping employees succeed.· Maintain accurate inventory through disciplined processes, accountability, and a strong pride in ownership.· Utilize and become proficient in Kimball's ERP and inventory management systems to manage inventory, transactions, reporting, and operational performance.· Coordinate freight, deliveries, and branch transfers to ensure parts and materials are where they need to be when they need to be there.· Maintain a safe, clean, organized, and efficient warehouse operation.· Remain curious about how and why processes work and actively look for better ways to operate.· Drive continuous improvement by identifying inefficiencies and implementing practical solutions that improve productivity, accuracy, and service.· Be the solution, not the problem by taking ownership of challenges and working through them rather than waiting for someone else to act.· Work in solidarity with Parts, Service, Sales, and other Kimball locations, putting company objectives ahead of departmental or individual interests.· Sell or help someone who does by recognizing that accurate inventory, timely shipments, and strong warehouse execution directly support our customers and sales organization.· Promote accountability, teamwork, safety, and a positive attitude while maintaining optimism and high ambition for what the team can accomplishWhat We Look for in Our LeadersTechnical experience matters, but leadership and cultural alignment matter just as much.Successful leaders at Kimball:· Take ownership rather than make excuses.· Look for solutions and have the confidence to improve what is not working.· Act with urgency and follow through on commitments.· Stay curious and continue learning.· Serve their employees and help others become successful.· Work across departments and locations as one Kimball team.· Take pride in the operation and treat company resources as if they were their own.· Understand that every role ultimately exists to support our customers and the people who serve them.· Play for the name on the front, putting the success of Kimball and the team ahead of individual recognition.· Approach challenges with optimism, high expectations, and the belief that we can always improve.Qualifications· 5+ years of warehouse, logistics, inventory, or distribution experience.· Previous supervisory or management experience.· Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and hold a team accountable.· Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.· Experience with inventory control and warehouse management systems.· Strong computer skills and willingness to learn new technologies and business systems.· Forklift and material handling experience.Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.· Heavy equipment, construction, mining, industrial, or parts experience preferred.Compensation & Benefits· Competitive salary of $80,000–$90,000, based on experience.· Full benefits including 401(k), PTO, health, vision, dental, and life insurance.· Stable, established company with a long history of growth and success.· Opportunity to lead, improve, and make a measurable impact on the operation.· Long-term career opportunities within a growing organization.The Person We're Looking ForThe right candidate will not be satisfied simply maintaining the warehouse as it operates today.
