Shift: 12H Nights (2-day hospital orientation + 3-4 days unit orientation)

Licenses/Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required

Experience: Minimum 2 years of RN experience; acute care experience preferred

What You'll Do

• Provide expert nursing care to urology post-op and med-surg overflow patients, including those with sepsis, CHF, COPD, COVID, and other conditions
• Manage postoperative Urology patients, including interactions with robotic surgeries, nephrectomies, and prostatectomies
• Perform wound management, including JP drains, wound vacs, and catheter care
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, manage non-titratable cardiac drips, and interpret telemetry data
• Support patient care through IV management, patient assessments, and documentation in Meditech Expanse EMR
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including hospitalists, PT/OT/ST, and support staff
• Float within various Med/Surg units, maintaining flexibility and adaptability
• Uphold hospital policies, including scrub dress code and patient safety protocols

What You Need

• Valid RN license in Louisiana or eligible for licensure
• At least 2 years of RN experience in acute care settings
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications
• Ability to pass an EKG competency exam
• Skills in wound care, telemetry, IV therapy, and patient assessments
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
