Registered Nurse Specializing in Labor and Delivery
Job Description
We are seeking a knowledgeable and dedicated Registered Nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery. This position requires a minimum of 2 years of experience and the ability to effectively care for patients in a high-risk perinatal environment. As part of a dynamic team, you will provide comprehensive maternity services at a facility that includes a Level II NICU.
Responsibilities
Provide nursing assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation for patients in labor and delivery.
Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Administer medications and manage patient care needs as per protocols.
Support and educate families regarding perinatal care and breastfeeding.
Assist in managing and mitigating high-risk deliveries.
Float to postpartum as needed and assist in triage operations.
Required Experience
Minimum of 2 years experience in Labor and Delivery nursing. Experience in facilities with 100-200 deliveries annually is acceptable, but preference is given to those with 200+ deliveries.
Certifications / Licensure
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) certification.
ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification.
NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification.
AWHONN Intermediate or Relias Fetal Monitoring certification.
