About the Role We are seeking a Technical Artist with deep expertise in real-time visual effects, simulation, and pipeline development . This role requires strong technical fluency in Unreal Engine (Niagara, Chaos, Materials) and Houdini, with the ability to design scalable systems that balance fidelity and performance. You'll support multiple areas of the project, from dynamic VFX to physics-driven destruction to procedural workflows, helping the team push both artistic quality and technical stability. Responsibilities
- Architect and implement real-time VFX and simulation systems using Niagara, Chaos, and procedural pipelines.
- Develop and maintain tools, scripts, and workflows to accelerate artist iteration and reduce integration overhead.
- Establish best practices and provide technical guidance to the art teams.
- 5+ years in game development with a focus on Technical Art, VFX, or real-time simulation systems.
- Advanced proficiency in Unreal Engine (Niagara, Chaos, Blueprints, Materials).
- Strong background with Houdini for procedural content generation and rigid body simulation.
- Proven ability to optimize performance of complex simulations and content pipelines.
- Shipped at least one AAA title in a technical art role.
- Experience with shader development (HLSL, GLSL, or Unreal materials).
- Familiarity with profiling/debugging tools (RenderDoc, PIX, Unreal Insights).
- Knowledge of cross-platform optimization strategies (console, PC).
