MISSION
The mission is to help young children (birth – age 5) thrive socially, emotionally, and academically through high-quality early childhood education; in partnership with their families and the community. This is a one-of-a-kind non-profit that is a collaborative partnership between Lincoln Public Schools (LPS), the University of Nebraska – Lincoln (UNL), Early Head Start (EHS), and the Buffett Early Childhood Fund. This growing non-profit helps young children thrive socially, emotionally, and academically through high-quality early childhood education; in partnership with their families and the community. The EHS (Early Head Start) program (ages 6 weeks to 3 years) and the preschool program (ages 3 years to 5 years) promote school readiness by enhancing the social and cognitive development of children through the provision of evidence-based education, health, nutritional, social, and other services to enrolled children and their families. In this position, you’ll be a key contributor to this important work by serving in a mission-critical role as a Sixpence Home Visitor.

There are frequent professional development opportunities for staff; from coaching and training, to collaboration with peers across the country. That’s why employee growth as early childhood professionals is so important and a large focus of the leadership team. As a valued team member, you’ll enjoy 26 paid holidays, paid sick time, paid vacation time, a casual work environment, and a full benefits package in addition to these perks!
