We currently offer an opportunity for a Part Time, Days, Chaplain to support seriously ill pediatric patients and their families in Cleveland. Joining Our Team Comes With Several Benefits, Including Free parking for regular status caregivers Tuition reimbursement Full benefits and retirement Support for continuing education, career growth, and professional development What You Will Do Provide effective spiritual support that contributes to the wellbeing of each patient, family member, visitor, volunteer, or employee Acts as an integral part of the health care team, including interacting with nursing, medical, and support staff to ensure that the appropriate levels of service are met/delivered in a timely manner. Provide spiritual care that respects diversity, relative to differences in race, culture, gender, sexual orientation, philosophies, religious perspectives etc. Advocate for patients by educating staff about specific religious, spiritual or cultural needs and issues of patients and families which affect their care and treatment. Appropriate use of one’s professional authority as a chaplain. Establish trusted spiritual care relationships with empathy, openness, and respect Assists with the planning/implementation of services that provide spiritual support to the organization and community. Additional Responsibilities Performs other duties as assigned. Complies with all policies and standards. For specific duties and responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation. Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients.
