• High school diploma or GED required
• Associate degree or Bachelor's degree preferred

• At least 1 year of related experience required
• Experience in customer service, library services, or administrative support preferred
• Experience using computers, Microsoft Office, and basic office equipment

• Assist with daily circulation desk operations, including opening and closing procedures
• Check materials in and out and assist patrons with loan requests
• Shelve books, magazines, and other library materials accurately
• Organize and straighten shelves to maintain a clean and orderly library
• Help patrons locate books, resources, and information using the electronic catalog system
• Provide basic computer, printing, and technology assistance to library visitors
• Inspect materials for damage and ensure proper placement within the collection
• Catalog and maintain magazines and other library resources
• Create promotional materials such as flyers, bookmarks, and display items
• Assist with library programs, story times, book clubs, craft activities, and special events
• Help develop monthly event calendars and branch programming schedules
• Promote library services within the community by distributing informational materials
• Notify management of supply and purchasing needs
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Ability to stand, sit, walk, bend, reach, and use hands throughout the workday
• Frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds
• Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to push, pull, stoop, crouch, and climb as needed
• Must have close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception
• Comfortable working in an indoor environment with dust, noise, humidity, and varying ventilation conditions
