Staff Accountant | PAM Health Corporate

Maintains general ledger for assigned facilities. Assists with preparation of financial statements and reports. Handles special projects for the Accounting Department. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested. This is an exempt position. Accounting and General Ledger Responsibilities Maintains and reviews the general ledger activity and reporting for assigned facilities in an accurate and timely manner, while applying generally accepted accounting principles. Processes manual journal entries and enters activity into the WellSky ERP system. Maintains profit and loss trend reports and various reporting packages which are distributed to administrators of assigned facilities. Performs quality reviews prior to distribution. Informs Accounting Manager of any discrepancies or anomalies. Reconciles all balance sheet accounts each month, including but not limited to: Cash and bank reconciliations. Inventory accounts and adjusting entries to cost of goods sold as needed. Prepaid balances and related amortization. Fixed assets and related depreciation. Intercompany account balances. Accrued liabilities and any necessary reversals. Collects and records statistical data for administrative, regulatory or survey purposes. Makes recommendations related to systems, work flow, efficiencies, or other improvements within the Accounting Department. Reviews all work for completeness, accuracy and reasonableness. Adheres to all accounting and company policies. Education and Training Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent experience. Experience 1-3 years in an accounting-related position, with experience in financial accounting and general ledger. Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities Working knowledge and competency in use of software packages (e.g., Excel and Word) and computer networks.
