Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical/Tele

Job Summary:

Provide comprehensive nursing care to medical-surgical patients in a tele-capable unit, ensuring patient safety and adherence to clinical standards. The role involves delivering direct patient care, monitoring patient conditions, and collaborating with healthcare teams.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Evaluate patient needs and develop individualized care plans.
  
  
• 
  Administer medications, treatments, and perform assessments as required.
  
  
• 
  Monitor patient vital signs, including EKG interpretation when necessary.
  
  
• 
  Assist with patient observations, addressing respiratory, diabetic, and psychiatric conditions.
  
  
• 
  Document patient care activities accurately in electronic health records using EPIC.
  
  
• 
  Float across all facilities as needed, providing consistent high-quality care.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Hold an active RN license in good standing.
  
  
• 
  Possess minimum of 2 years of recent medical-surgical nursing experience.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate proficiency in EPIC electronic medical records.
  
  
• 
  Successfully pass an EKG competency exam during onboarding.
  
  
• 
  Be BLS certified; FIRST TIME TRAVELERS are welcome.
  
  
• 
  Ability to pass a comprehensive background check with no open cases.
