Job Description We are seeking a full‑time or part‑time Audiologist at our brand new FYZICAL® Balance Therapy clinic in Portland, Maine. An interest in vestibular neurophysiology is a plus, but not required! The audiologist will be responsible for independently providing comprehensive audiologic services to an adult population, as well as performing vestibular testing for select patients receiving dizziness and balance evaluations in the clinic. The audiologist will also have direct contact with and support from co‑owner Dr. Liz Pearce who is a practicing Otolaryngologist at her private practice in Falmouth. Dr. Pearce believes in unrushed patient care, team communication, and patient education. What is it like to be part of the FYZICAL® team? We are seeking enthusiastic individuals who are motivated to improve the lives of our patients through physical therapy and audiologic services. Our staff is our greatest asset, and we aim to provide a superior working environment with a positive work‑life balance, while providing opportunities for professional growth. Benefits: Competitive salary (from $82,000/year or more) Hearing aid commission bonus ($25,000/year or more) 401(k) with profit sharing Health and dental insurance Paid time off (PTO) 10 paid holidays 8 hour shift No weekends or call Responsibilities: Independently provide comprehensive audiologic services to an adult population Perform and interpret diagnostic evaluations including history intake, pure tone and bone conduction thresholds, speech sensitivity and speech discrimination, tympanometry, acoustic reflexes and otoacoustic emissions (when indicated) Perform and interpret VNG testing for patients with dizziness, imbalance and vestibular disorders Clearly communicate diagnostic findings and recommendations to patients and their families, as well as the referring providers Make appropriate recommendations for follow‑up care, which may include: further audiological assessment/testing, medical intervention and/or rehabilitative management Amplification assessment, hearing aid evaluation and fittings, including real ear measures, for adult patients with hearing loss General hearing aid maintenance appointments and drop‑off repairs Complete electronic medical record notes for appointments and patient interactions over the phone Required Skills: Clinical Doctorate or Master's Degree in Audiology License to practice Audiology in the State of Maine 1 year experience preferred in hearing diagnostics and hearing aid dispensing Some experience with balance disorders is a plus but not required #J-18808-Ljbffr
