Job Description

Job Summary:
Seeking a dedicated Medical Laboratory Scientist (Technologist) or Technician to perform a variety of laboratory tests and procedures. This role involves processing specimens, operating lab equipment, and ensuring accurate test results in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Responsibilities:

• Collect and receive patient specimens for testing.
• Perform chemical, microscopic, bacteriological, and other diagnostic laboratory tests.
• Operate manual and automated laboratory equipment to analyze samples.
• Document and report laboratory findings accurately and timely.
• Maintain and calibrate lab instruments to ensure optimal performance.
• Adhere to safety protocols and quality control standards consistently.

Qualifications:

• Hold an Associate degree for Medical Technician (ASCP) or a Bachelor's degree for Medical Lab Scientist (Technologist).
• Current Medical Technician or Medical Laboratory Scientist registration through ASCP or AMT.
• Minimum of two years of experience as a Medical Lab Scientist or Technician.
• Demonstrate proficiency in microbiology, including microbiology plate reading or supervisory experience.
• Possess Meditech experience.
• Strong knowledge of laboratory safety, quality control, and infection control procedures.
