Traveling Medical Lab Scientist/Technologist
This is a 13-week contract position.
Evening Shift - 7 on/7 off (10:30am - 9:00pm)
An exciting opportunity is available for a traveling Medical Lab Scientist (Technologist) or Technician to join the Laboratory team. In this role, you will collect and receive specimens for testing, conduct various medical laboratory tests including chemical, microscopic, and bacteriologic tests, and operate both manual and automated lab equipment to analyze specimens.
Responsibilities:
- Collect and receive specimens for laboratory testing.
- Perform chemical, microscopic, and bacteriologic laboratory tests.
- Operate manual and automated lab equipment for specimen analysis.
- Ensure quality control and accuracy of test results.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
- Minimum 5 years of microbiology plate reading experience and/or supervisory experience in microbiology.
- Medical Technician (ASCP): Associate degree and current Medical Technician Registration by ASCP or AMT.
- Medical Lab Scientist (Technologist) (ASCP): Bachelor's Degree and current Medical Technology Registration by ASCP or AMT.
- Two (2) years experience as a Medical Lab Scientist (Technologist)/Technician required.
- Experience with MEDITECH is required.
