Memory Care Activity Assistant

We are seeking a compassionate, energetic, and organized Memory Care Activities Aide to support our assisted living community’s memory care program. This role is essential in providing meaningful engagement, structured activities, and emotional support to residents living with dementia and memory impairment. The Memory Care Activities Aide is responsible for assisting in the planning, coordination, and execution of daily activities designed to enhance the quality of life for memory care residents. This role supports cognitive stimulation, social engagement, and emotional well-being in a safe and structured environment. The ideal candidate is patient, creative, and passionate about working with seniors, with the ability to engage residents through purposeful activities and companionship. Responsibilities: Support the planning and execution of daily, evening, and weekend activity programs Assist in developing and leading spiritual, intergenerational, recreational, and entertainment-based activities Help maintain and update the monthly activities calendar Encourage resident participation and foster a warm, inclusive environment Celebrate residents’ milestones, birthdays, holidays, and special achievements Set up and break down activity spaces and ensure supplies are organized and available Document participation and provide feedback to improve programming Support residents with cognitive, social, recreational, and sensory activities Provide companionship and emotional support to memory care residents Qualifications: Experience in senior living, assisted living, memory care, or related healthcare setting preferred Experience working with dementia or Alzheimer’s residents strongly preferred Must hold a valid NJ CNA, CHHA, or CMA license (Required) Strong communication and interpersonal skills Patience, compassion, and a positive, engaging attitude Ability to work in a fast-paced, resident-centered environment Creativity and ability to adapt activities to resident abilities and needs Shift: Part-time $15.92 - $15.92 an hour Why Join Spring Oak?
