Job Overview We’re hiring a hands on Compressor Field Service Technician to support industrial rotary screw and reciprocating compressors used in Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) and industrial applications. This role is ideal for a mechanically strong technician who enjoys rotating equipment, troubleshooting, and a mix of shop and field work. No prior RNG/biogas experience required. OEM training and structured onboarding provided. Responsibilities Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and overhaul industrial compressors Support installations, startups, and commissioning at customer sites Perform compressor overhauls and equipment prep in the Schaumburg shop Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues affecting performance Read P&IDs, mechanical drawings, and electrical schematic Complete service documentation and work orders Requirements High School diploma or GED Minimum of 3 years of industrial mechanical, compressor, or rotating equipment experience Ingersoll Rand is an equal opportunity employer. The pay range considers a wide range of factors that include a candidate’s skills; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and geographic location.
