Summer Custodians

Job Description The Jaffrey-Rindge Cooperative School District is hiring for summer custodial support. The position is temporary for summer months only and will assist with custodial duties and summer cleaning projects in each of the district's schools. The custodian is responsible for the general overall cleaning and minor maintenance of all areas as assigned to maintain a safe and sanitary facility for students and staff. The district uses green materials to clean buildings, and custodians are trained on the use and proper handling of these materials. Responsibilities Assist with custodial duties and summer cleaning projects across all district schools. Maintain general overall cleaning and minor maintenance of assigned areas. Use green cleaning materials and follow proper handling protocols. Qualifications Demonstrate a professional and courteous attitude toward students, staff, and the general public. Learn and accomplish tasks with minimum supervision. Initiate routine cleaning and minor repairs with fine attention to detail. Dress appropriately for the duties. Maintain flexibility to address unexpected custodial requests promptly. Have ability to send and receive emails. Have ability to receive, complete, and enter work orders, and check calendar via Master Library. Physical ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 60 lbs; climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as needed; and possess fine finger dexterity. High school or trade school degree preferred. Citizenship, residency, or work visa in the United States required.
