Job Summary: 

The Legal Secretary will assist by communicating with clients and staff, maintaining the office, performing administrative activities, and assisting with basic document preparation.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Answering phones and transferring calls to relevant parties.
• Maintaining the front desk and greeting visitors or clients.
• Maintaining the office.
• Assisting attorneys and clients during in-office meetings.
• Assisting paralegals and attorneys with document preparation as needed.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. 
• Excellent time management skills.
• Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment. 
• Ability to maintain confidentiality, and to exercise discretion and good judgment.
• Ability to self-motivate and function autonomously. 
• Eager to learn new processes and adapt to firm’s methods. 
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. 

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Previous administrative and/or customer service experience preferred.

Physical Requirements: 

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. 
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
