Data Scientist

Salary: $126,000 - 166,000 per year Requirements:

• We require experience developing advanced algorithms with machine learning, statistical, and optimization techniques to support complex business models and create measurable value.
• We require hands-on experience with modern analytics tools, programming languages, and cloud platforms such as Python, R, Spark, SQL, and Google Cloud Platform.
• We look for strong analytical problem-solving ability, with a focus on product-oriented development.
• We require experience designing rapid experiments to validate new ideas or initiatives and quickly iterating based on results.
• We need effective communication and collaboration skills.
• We require a Bachelor of Science in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or a related quantitative discipline.
• We require 2+ years of progressively complex experience in data science or analytics.
• We value a Masters degree, along with experience in retail, supply chain management, marketing models, or logistics.
• We also value experience with optimization tools such as Gurobi, Pyomo, or CPLEX.
• We expect candidates to be able to work as part of a team, follow company policies and procedures, maintain regular attendance, and use a computer for everyday work tasks.

• We clean, preprocess, and analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and correlations.
• We perform exploratory data analysis to generate actionable insights using statistical and analytical methods.
• We partner with stakeholders to understand business needs and turn them into technical solutions.
• We build and apply statistical and machine learning models to address business challenges within a cross-functional team.
• We work with senior data scientists to refine, optimize, and scale models and algorithms.
• We document projects thoroughly, including business goals, data collection and processing, methodology, final algorithms, results, and metrics.
• We help improve key business metrics through ongoing analysis and collaboration with the team.
• We stay current on emerging data science and technology trends through self-learning and training.
• We contribute to large-scale optimization and statistical analysis in areas such as web analytics, forecasting, supply chain, pricing, and inventory management.
• We help tune models by adjusting objective functions, constraints, and related parameters.
• We may take on additional tasks as needed.
