Certified Surg Tech - Travel Job

Jackson HealthPros is seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist to assist physicians and nurses in the operating room during surgical procedures, ensuring patient safety by preparing the operating room, sterilizing equipment, and supporting the surgical team. This travel assignment is located in Montgomery, AL at a hospital and requires proficiency across multiple surgical specialties. Schedule includes weekend coverage and on-call responsibilities per facility expectations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Current certification from a program accredited by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• Minimum 2 years' experience as a certified OR/Surgical Technologist in a surgical environment. Facility will not accept candidates with only 1 year of experience. First-time travelers accepted with at least 2 years of experience.
• Strong experience in Trauma (excluding burns) and Neuro required.
• Experience in General, Vascular (including endovascular procedures), ENT, Orthopedic spine, GYN, Urology, Plastics, and Ophthalmology.
• Robotics experience preferred. Experience with robotic systems such as DaVinci XI or Mazor is preferred.
• Competency in CVOR not required for general OR roles; CVOR experience required only for CVOR-specific positions.
• Familiarity with Cerner EMR, Omnicell medication dispensing, Plum 360 IV pumps, and Spacelabs monitors preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong robotics experience for both General and Neuro procedures preferred.
• Endovascular experience preferred for vascular cases.
• Experience with Open Heart/CVOR procedures preferred if applying for CVOR roles.

Assignment Details

• Shift details: 0630-1830.
• Schedule: Friday, Saturday, Sunday coverage required.
• Orientation: Two weeks on day shift with expected buddy call during orientation.
• On-call: Call schedule for every service line except Open Heart. Open Heart call is one day a week (3p-7a) and one weekend a month (Friday 3p-Monday 7a).
• Floating: No floating to other facilities.
• Holiday expectation: Expected to work at least one holiday per contract.
