A hospital inpatient pharmacist position is available within a major public health system serving Los Angeles County. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to patient care in a dynamic, large-scale healthcare environment.

Location: Torrance, CA
Schedule: Variable days/afternoons, working four 10-hour shifts per week
Job Type: Contract with potential for temp-to-hire transition

Responsibilities include:

• Dispensing and verifying inpatient medications accurately and efficiently
• Collaborating with healthcare teams to optimize pharmaceutical care for hospitalized patients
• Monitoring medication use to ensure safety and compliance with hospital and regulatory standards
• Participating in clinical rounds and providing drug information to medical staff
• Supporting pharmacy operational needs within the inpatient setting

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Licensed Pharmacist with experience in hospital inpatient or acute care pharmacy
• Familiarity with hospital pharmacy operations and electronic medical records systems
• Strong communication skills for effective interdisciplinary collaboration
• Ability to adapt to variable scheduling and a fast-paced clinical environment

This position supports essential pharmacy functions within the Los Angeles County Department of Health System, a unionized public health network with numerous outpatient clinics and hospitals.
