Network Technician

Network Technician The Network Technician performs similar duties as directed or instructed by the senior network engineer. This individual adds or exchanges externally connected PC accessories and data communications equipment including cables, boards, batteries, disk drives, and other PC components. This individual also attaches, detaches, or exchanges LAN cabling to workstations, servers, network devices, telecommunications, and data communications equipment. This position requires an Associate's degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field; or Technical school certificate of completion in the data communications field including cable installation, or the equivalent military training. An additional year of specialized experience may be substituted for the required education. The proposed candidate must have at least three (3) years of experience in a computer-related field. The proposed candidate must have at least two (2) years of experience installing and maintaining shared resources for communication networks and devices. Jackson and Tull
