Shape the Future of an Expanding Dermatopathology Program

A growing physician-led dermatology organization is seeking a Fellowship-Trained Dermatopathologist to play a key role in launching and leading an expanding in-house dermatopathology program. This is a unique opportunity for a physician who enjoys diagnostic excellence, collaboration, and the chance to help build a program from the ground up.


Working closely with a team of dermatologists, you'll interpret a high volume of specimens while helping establish the clinical and operational foundation of a growing laboratory.

What You'll Do

• Interpret approximately 10,000 dermatopathology specimens annually .
  
  
• Collaborate closely with dermatologists to provide accurate and timely diagnoses.
  
  
• Help establish, develop, and grow a new in-house dermatopathology laboratory.
  
  
• Contribute to laboratory quality initiatives and operational excellence.
  
  
• Support best practices in diagnostic pathology and patient care.
  
  
• Participate in program development and future growth initiatives.
  
  

What We're Looking For

• MD or DO degree.
  
  
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anatomic Pathology.
  
  
• Fellowship-trained in Dermatopathology.
  
  
• Eligible for Virginia medical licensure.
  
  
• Excellent diagnostic, communication, and collaboration skills.
  
  
• Commitment to providing exceptional patient care.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a high-volume dermatopathology practice.
  
  
• Experience with laboratory development, accreditation, or medical directorship.
  
  
• Interest in helping build and lead a growing dermatopathology service.
