Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

The Acute Care Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides essential nursing care to patients in a structured medical/surgical environment under the supervision of professional nursing staff. The role involves delivering patient-centered care tailored to the age and condition of patients served, ensuring comfort and support throughout the care period. Responsibilities:

• Assist patients with activities of daily living including hygiene, mobility, and feeding.
• Provide patient care within a medical/surgical unit following established policies and procedures.
• Support nursing staff by reporting patient status and changes promptly.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized care environment.
• Perform routine nursing tasks as delegated by licensed nursing personnel.
• Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team to ensure quality patient care.

• Valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license.
• Current AHA BLS Provider CPR certification.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a medical/surgical or acute care setting preferred.
• Knowledge of patient care techniques appropriate to the age and condition of patients served.

• Experience working in acute care or hospital medical/surgical units.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment.

• Must be willing to work within a structured care setting following strict health care policies and procedures.
• In-state travelers will only be considered if they exceed a 250-mile radius.

• Work schedule consists of shifts assigned within the medical/surgical unit; shift types may vary based on facility needs.
• Shift patterns and hours will be determined by the facility management to ensure adequate patient coverage.
