Staff Accountant

About the Role

We're looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant with 2–5 years of experience to join our finance team. This role covers full cycle accounting and is a great fit for someone who enjoys owning month-end processes and wants to grow their career with a company that values accuracy, initiative, and clear communication. This role reports directly to the Assistant Controller.

What You'll Do

• Own full cycle accounting responsibilities, from transaction entry through financial statement preparation
• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations as part of the monthly close process
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts, including bank accounts, prepaid expenses, and fixed assets
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed
• Support preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Analyze account variances and research discrepancies
• Assist with audit preparation, including gathering documentation and responding to auditor requests
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies
• Maintain organized, accurate records to support financial reporting and audit trails
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and increase efficiency
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (FP&A, Billing, HR) to support broader business needs

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 2–5 years of relevant accounting experience , with exposure to full cycle accounting
• Solid understanding of GAAP and general ledger accounting
• Experience with NetSuite , Salesforce , and Ramp is a plus
• Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas)
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to identify trends, variances, and discrepancies
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to prioritize competing deadlines and work independently as a self-starter in a remote environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
