CSWI's Engineered Building Solutions segment manufactures custom architectural building components and innovative firestopping and smoke-rated products that help protect people. The Balco team focuses on Architectural Expansion Joints, Moats and Portals, Fire Barriers, Stair Nosings, Mats and Grids, Trenches, and Photoluminescent products to provide high-quality building solutions.

Company Wide Responsibilities:

• Support and follow Balco, Inc.'s Quality Policy
• Follow all applicable Procedures and Work Instructions
• Initiate preventative and corrective actions for problems with product or processes

• Any other assignments, duties or responsibilities as directed by the Supervisor or Executive Management

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead business activities and manage staff for assigned areas.
• Hire, train, and evaluate employee performance; ensure effective communication and teamwork among employees; regularly meet with direct reports to ensure alignment with business goals
• Lead safety initiatives and training; implement and enforce safety policies and procedures; advise the business on health and safety issues; inspect work areas to ensure safety; investigate safety incidents and near misses
• Drive quality and continuous improvement activities for Manufacturing
• Effectively communicate key production metrics
• Any other assignments, duties or responsibilities as directed by Management.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of manufacturing management and supply chain leadership experience, with performance accountability
• Experience managing hourly employees and leading teams of 10+ employees
• Experience implementing and leading safety & quality initiatives
• Project management and/or technical leadership experience, integrating various functions to drive improvements
• Experience using industry software to communicate, create reports and presentations, and manage business activities (MS Suite, ERP, inventory management software, etc.)
• High School diploma required
• Lean / Six Sigma experience is preferred
• Ability to effectively lead a team, provide direction, and manage
• Advanced knowledge of raw materials and production
• Strong knowledge of OSHA requirements, along with safety best practices in the manufacturing industry
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members and customers (internal & external) verbally and in writing.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to be proactive and solve problems as they arise
