Institutional Custody Client Service Team Lead

Overview The Institutional Custody team provides custody services to large global and domestic institutional clients. This role supports the team’s growth by supervising daily Client Services activities, assisting associates, and developing controls that reduce organizational risk. The Team Lead collaborates with internal operations and external vendors to meet client expectations and helps to create a productive, engaged workforce that works together toward shared deadlines. Responsibilities Lead and assist Client Service Administrators who oversee all activity related to client accounts to provide a superior customer experience. Monitor and strengthen management controls to reduce risk, and approve transaction activity, cash, and trade movements. Facilitate problem resolution, tracking issues through to completion. Provide input for the design and construction of test cases and scenarios, and validate executed test results. Prepare and provide input into user documentation and training materials. Lead system testing activities, as applicable. Supervise daily Client Services operations and collaborate with associates through both formal and informal means. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance or related field, or equivalent experience. At least four (4) years of prior experience in Custody, Trust, or Securities department. Compensation US Employees in California, Washington DC, New Jersey, and New York: $62,310 - $90,760. US Employees in Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Massachusetts, Maryland, Minnesota, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Texas, Washington, and Wisconsin: $56,890 - $83,080. US Employees in all other states not listed above: $51,480 - $75,410. The posted compensation range represents UMB’s good faith estimate based on budget and expected starting pay for this role; actual compensation may vary by geographic location, experience level, and job-related factors.
