Staff Accountant

Ledgent Accounting & Finance is actively seeking a detail-oriented and self-motivated Staff Accountant with strong analytical and problem-solving skills to join one of our manufacturing client's team! The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, compliance, and collaboration across departments. This is a contract to hire position and onsite M-F.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2+ years of accounting experienc within the manufacturing industry
• Knowledge of GAAP principles and standard accounting practices.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel (intermediate skills).
• Familiarity with ERP systems in a manufacturing environment is a plus.

Responsibilities:

• Record journal entries, reconcile accounts, and maintain general ledger accuracy.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
• Manage fixed asset records, depreciation schedules, and capital expenditures.
• Prepare financial reports and perform variance analyses.
• Support audits through documentation and reporting.
• Collaborate with departments to ensure accurate financial data.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal policies.
• Process accounts payable, cash activities, and procurement-related tasks.
• Address inefficiencies and resolve issues within the procurement cycle.
• Prepare tax-related documents and cash forecasts.
• Perform other tasks as needed by management.
