Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) FULL TIME/PART TIME

Skilled Nursing Facility | Venice, FL

The Palms at Venice in Venice, Florida is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to support our rehabilitation team. This position plays a key role in delivering high-quality, resident-centered occupational therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist.

Position Responsibilities

• Provide skilled occupational therapy treatments as directed by the supervising OT

• Assist residents with improving ADLs, strength, coordination, and functional mobility

• Accurately document treatment sessions and resident progress

• Observe and report resident responses, progress, and any changes in condition

• Collaborate with therapy, nursing, and interdisciplinary team members

• Follow established care plans and comply with all regulatory guidelines

Qualifications

• Current Florida COTA license (required)

• Experience in a Skilled Nursing or Post-Acute Care setting preferred

• Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills

• Ability to work independently while following OT supervision guidelines

• Commitment to quality resident care and rehabilitation outcomes
