About This Role

We are seeking qualified Substitute Staff to provide backup teaching services for various child care centers in Monmouth County. Our centers cater to children of diverse ages, ranging from 6 weeks to 12 years. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and maintaining a respectful classroom culture that promotes a safe and productive learning environment. As a Substitute Staff, you will be expected to monitor, observe, and report on behaviors, all while adhering to established child care center policies and procedures, as well as state regulations and quality standards. Our automated system ensures seamless employment management, and substitutes will be notified via text message when assignments become available.

What You'll Do

• Adhere to center policies and state regulations in the classroom.
• Maintain a healthy environment through proper hygiene, cleanliness, and safety standards.
• Ensure a well-managed classroom with a positive atmosphere.
• Pursue personal professional development to continually enhance quality.
• Candidates must be able to lift 40 pounds, engage on the floor with children, be active on the playground, and work outdoors in varying temperatures.

Requirements

• Pass a background check.
• Medical examination with Mantoux results.
• High school diploma or GED.
• While preferred, childcare experience is not mandatory.
• Able to work collaboratively with others.
• Essential skills include strong communication, both oral and written, and basic computer skills.

• A high level of energy, with a genuine passion for working with children.
• Familiarity with child development principles.
• Outstanding leadership, organizational, and interpersonal abilities.
• CPR and First Aid certification for infants and children is preferred but not a requirement.
