Step into a fulfilling contract opportunity as an Occupational Therapist working with school-aged students for the first half of the academic year. In this dynamic role, you will provide crucial therapy services across multiple educational settings, supporting students’ growth, participation, and success. Based near Tecumseh, MI, your expertise will make a direct impact as you split time between a primary district and one day each week assisting another nearby district.

In this full-time assignment, you’ll collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams, designing and implementing individualized plans that promote independence, skill development, and inclusion. Your contributions will help shape positive outcomes within welcoming and supportive school environments.

Key qualifications and experience:

• Current Occupational Therapist license for the state of Michigan (or eligibility for licensure)
• Prior experience in a school-based or pediatric occupational therapy setting preferred
• Knowledge of developing and implementing IEPs and 504 plans
• Ability to assess, document, and report on student progress effectively
• Strong collaboration and communication skills with staff, students, and families
• Flexible and self-motivated, comfortable traveling between campuses as needed

• Deliver direct and consultative OT services to students in line with prescribed IEP goals
• Conduct thorough student assessments to identify unique strengths and challenges
• Develop engaging treatment activities to enhance fine motor skills, sensory processing, and functional independence
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to IEP processes
• Communicate progress and strategies to teachers, parents, and support teams
