Job TitleEngage in day-to-day blending, mixing, and preparing batches in accordance with written specifications/procedures to ensure maximum output at optimum efficiency and in compliance with government regulations, cGMP practices, company policies, and customer specifications.Essential Functions / General AccountabilitiesPrepare and process batches in accordance with established specifications and proceduresCleaning and sanitizing all required chemical processing equipment, pipes, pumps and tanksStaging and transferring chemical raw materialsPreparing and operating chemical compounding equipmentTransferring batchesFollow written procedures to ensure that all documentation, records and logbooks are accurately completed and in accordance with GMPMaintain proper sanitation, housekeeping, and GMPs to meet BRC Global Standards for Food Safety and FDA regulations for the Blending/Compounding of all productsMaintain a working knowledge of compliance with hazardous material handling and personal protective equipment requirementsEnsure compounding areas are maintained in a clean and well-organized state.Operate forklift according to safe operating rules at all timesOperate and troubleshoot chemical processing equipment such as mixers, pumps, and scales. Request equipment maintenance as neededUtilize inventory lot rotation (FIFO) for all materials usedOther related duties as assigned which may include drumming and blendingJob QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalentMinimum of 1-year experience as a CompounderForklift certified a plus, but will trainSkillsExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalMust be flexible in dealing with others in the organization, and with work assignments/projectsSelf-organized, self-motivatedAbility to work independent of supervisionPunctual and reliableTime management skills and ability to meet targetsStrong attention to detailAbility to work as part of a teamWork EnvironmentWarehousePhysical: Must be able to walk throughout the plant, to include walking and climbing up/downstairs and ladders (portable, fixed).
