Staff Accountant

Weldall Manufacturing is seeking a Staff Accountant to support daily accounting operations, including general ledger entries, account reconciliations, invoicing, and assisting with financial reporting. This role works closely with the accounting team to ensure timely and accurate financial data.

Role & Responsibilities

· Assist with monthly close procedures

· Prepare and enter journal entries

· Perform bank and account reconciliations

· Monitor and record daily cash activity

· Maintain fixed asset records

· Generate customer invoices and apply payments

· Assist in preparing sales and use tax filings

· Help compile data for audits (including Workman’s Comp and 401k)

· Provide backup support for payroll and other cross-functional duties

· Maintain organized and accurate financial records

Required Competencies

· Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and general ledger functions

· Strong attention to detail and accuracy

· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including formulas and pivot tables)

· Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

· Good communication and time management skills

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Requirements

Education and Experience

· Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required

· 1–3 years of experience in general accounting preferred

· Experience with Epicor ERP a plus

· Manufacturing industry experience a plus
