Job Title: Assembler Job Description

The Assembler receives machined components, gathers all required parts according to detailed work instructions, and builds complete assemblies using a variety of hand and power tools. The role involves following visual work instructions, blueprints, and schematics to produce high-quality assemblies and performing final testing to ensure each product meets established production and quality standards.

• Receive machined parts and identify all required components based on work instructions for each assembly.
• Select and stage additional parts and hardware needed to complete assigned assemblies.
• Assemble products using hand tools and power tools, including wrenches, torque wrenches, screwdrivers, and drills.
• Follow visual work instructions and reference pictures that show the completed assembly to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and drawings to perform mechanical and electrical assemblies.
• Perform mechanical assembly of smaller parts, including components related to hydraulics, pneumatics, and manifolds.
• Carry out electrical assembly tasks such as wiring products according to electrical schematics and work instructions.
• Set up assemblies on test benches after appropriate training and conduct final testing to verify performance against production and quality standards.
• Identify any defects or issues during assembly or testing and communicate them promptly for correction.
• Maintain an organized and clean individual assembly cell, including tools, parts, and work surfaces.
• Follow all documented work instructions and standard operating procedures to ensure consistent and safe assembly practices.
• Collaborate with the assembly lead and team members to prioritize work, resolve issues, and support overall production goals.
• Adhere to safety guidelines while using hand and power tools and operating within the assembly environment.

• Recent hands-on assembly experience in a manufacturing or similar environment.
• Mechanical assembly experience working with smaller parts, including exposure to hydraulics, pneumatics, and manifolds.
• Electrical assembly experience, including wiring products according to schematics and work instructions.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical drawings to perform accurate assemblies.
• Proficiency using hand tools such as wrenches, torque wrenches, and screwdrivers.
• Experience using power tools, including drills, in an assembly setting.
• Ability to follow detailed work instructions and visual references to produce consistent and high-quality assemblies.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to meeting production and quality standards.
• Capability to set up and operate test benches after training to verify assembly performance.
• Organizational skills to maintain a clean and orderly individual work cell.

• Experience working from structured work instructions in a production or assembly environment.
• Background in mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, or electrical systems assembly.
• Familiarity with manifolds and related components in fluid or pneumatic systems.
• Comfort working independently in a dedicated assembly cell while coordinating with a small team.
• Ability to adapt to flexible start and end times once trained and working independently.

This role is based in a clean, well-organized assembly department that is separate from the machine shop, providing a quiet space focused solely on assembly work. Standard hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with the opportunity for some flexibility in start and end times once you are fully trained and working independently, provided you complete an eight-hour shift. The assembly area consists of six cells, with two other individuals in the department, including a lead. Each assembler has their own individual cell equipped with dedicated parts and tools, and maintaining an organized and clean work area is a key expectation. The work involves regular use of hand tools and power tools, as well as test benches for final product verification. The dress code is casual, with close-toed shoes and jeans or work pants paired with a t-shirt or long-sleeve shirt.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Maple Grove, MN.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Maple Grove,MN.
