Work Environment This role is entirely remote, allowing you the flexibility to work from the comfort of your home. The supportive administrative team at Travis Mental Health Clinic handles scheduling, billing, and other logistical aspects of care, permitting you to focus solely on the therapeutic relationship with your clients. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients to identify mental health needs and appropriate treatment interventions. Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized, evidence-based treatment plans tailored to the specific needs of each client. Provide virtual therapy sessions for pre-screened, low-acuity clients, utilizing various therapeutic modalities appropriate for individual and group sessions. Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of client progress and treatment outcomes in compliance with regulatory standards. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic support and continuity of care for clients. Utilize telehealth technology effectively to enhance the client experience and therapy outcomes. Participate in ongoing professional development and training to stay current with best practices in mental health counseling. Patient Population / Client Focus You will primarily work with low-acuity clients who are dealing with a range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, and stress management. This role focuses on providing early intervention services to help individuals and families address their challenges before they escalate into more severe mental health issues. Qualifications A Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required. An active state licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) is mandatory. Minimum of two years of demonstrated experience in a clinical counseling setting, preferably providing telehealth services. Proficient computer skills, including familiarity with Google Suite and Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients in a virtual setting. Preferred Experience While the required qualifications ensure foundational skills for this role, experience with trauma-informed care, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), or other evidence-based therapeutic modalities is highly desirable. Familiarity with telehealth counseling practices and techniques can enhance the therapeutic trust and effectiveness of client interactions.
