Whether your passion is advanced design, project leadership, mentoring engineers, or expanding client relationships, this role provides a platform to grow your career while contributing to meaningful infrastructure projects throughout the region.Core ResponsibilitiesDesign and deliver drainage and stormwater engineering solutions for transportation, municipal, and land development projectsPerform hydrologic and hydraulic analyses to evaluate drainage systems and stormwater performanceDevelop drainage reports, calculations, construction documents, specifications, and technical plansEngineer storm sewer systems, culverts, detention/retention facilities, and erosion control measuresApply industry standards and regulatory requirements to ensure successful project deliveryCollaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to coordinate project design and executionSupport project schedules, budgets, quality standards, and client expectationsCoordinate with clients, permitting agencies, municipalities, and project stakeholdersProvide technical guidance and mentorship to developing engineering staffContribute to proposal development, client engagement, and business development efforts as experience and interest allowSupport continuous improvement of design processes, technical standards, and project delivery strategiesRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering5+ years of experience in drainage and stormwater engineeringExperience supporting transportation, municipal, or land development projectsKnowledge of hydrologic and hydraulic modeling principlesUnderstanding of Florida drainage standards, permitting requirements, and regulatory processesStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities while delivering high-quality technical workSoftware ExperienceOpenRoads DesignerMicroStationHEC-RASHEC-HMSICPREPA SWMMAutoCAD Civil 3DPreferred QualificationsProfessional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain Florida PE through reciprocityExperience with Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) drainage design standardsBackground in transportation infrastructure projectsExperience with floodplain analysis and stormwater management permittingExperience supporting proposals, client relationships, or business development initiativesProject management experience with increasing leadership responsibilitiesInterest in combining technical expertise with client-facing opportunitiesAbout TLP Engineering ConsultantsTLP Engineering Consultants is a respected engineering organization delivering innovative civil infrastructure solutions across Florida.
