Details Work in the Inpatient Overflow Med/Surg unit of a Level 1 Trauma hospital 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM 36 hours per week across 3 days Weekend and holiday shifts as needed Will float to similar units No on-call requirements Uses Epic EMR Requirements Active Illinois RN license in good standing (temp license accepted) Current BLS certification (American Heart Association) Minimum of one year of relevant nursing experience ASN required, BSN preferred Level 1 Trauma experience required Epic charting experience required Additional Information Provide direct patient care including assessments, medication administration, and care plan documentation for a designated group of Med/Surg patients Receive bedside shift report and delegate patient care tasks to Health Care Technicians Maintain patient safety through fall precautions, pressure ulcer prevention, isolation precautions, and ambulation safety Facilitate timely admission, discharge, and testing coordination for Observation status patients Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure effective patient care coordination Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract First-time travelers may be considered for this position American Traveler Job ID P-737789.
