Position Mars Petcare Operator-1 (3rd Shift) – Columbus, OH Pay Base Pay: $22.20 per hour Shift Premium: $1.50 per hour Shift Schedule Current Schedule (first 60–120 days): 3rd Shift (Nights) Schedule 1: Monday–Friday, 11 pm–7:30 am Schedule 2: 2‑2‑3 rotation, 7 pm–7 am Description of Role Mars Petcare is growing its manufacturing production teams. The Operator‑1 (3rd shift) ensures the safe and efficient flow of materials within the manufacturing operation, including timely movement of raw materials, packaging and finished goods using forklifts to support production schedules and operational efficiency. This role works closely with the warehouse, production and logistics teams. Key Responsibilities Safely transport materials and finished goods between the production and storage areas using equipment such as forklifts. Ensure accurate loading, unloading and documentation of materials. Support production schedules by delivering materials on time in the correct quantities. Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations. Accomplish organization/team goals by accepting ownership for new and different requests. Perform any ad hoc tasks assigned by Manager or Team Lead. Minimum Requirements High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent education. Passion to learn and develop within a technical role in manufacturing. Proficient in computer software including MS Office and email. Physical Requirements Frequent lifting/carrying (10‑50 lbs) and pushing/pulling (50‑300 lbs). Frequent bending, stooping, twisting, handling, and gripping. Ability to work at elevated heights, climb stairs, lean over equipment, and operate in confined spaces. Ability to stand and work on feet for extended periods, with shifts lasting 12 hours. Capable of working in hot, cold and wet conditions. Preferred Qualifications Technical degree or certification. Previous manufacturing or warehouse experience. Forklift or other equipment certification. Mechanically inclined. Total Rewards Pay Range: $22.20 per hour Shift Premium: $1.50 per hour Annual Bonus and Merit Increases (available).
