Shared Services & Purchasing Manager

About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Shared Services & Purchasing Manager to oversee organizational support services and procurement operations within a fast-paced environment. This role will lead shared services functions including travel, expense management, logistics, vendor coordination, purchasing operations, and office services while driving operational efficiency and continuous improvement initiatives.

Summary

The Shared Services & Purchasing Manager is responsible for managing daily shared services operations and procurement activities to ensure efficient, compliant, and cost-effective support across the organization. This role combines operational leadership, vendor management, budgeting, and process improvement with a strong focus on service delivery and organizational support.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage shared services operations in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
• Oversee purchasing activities including purchase orders, vendor coordination, invoice matching, and procurement workflows
• Manage vendor relationships and ensure service delivery aligns with organizational expectations
• Analyze operational processes and identify opportunities for improvement and efficiency gains
• Monitor budgets, expenditures, and purchasing activities to support cost-effective decision-making
• Identify and mitigate operational, compliance, and vendor-related risks
• Support cross-functional teams through effective communication and collaboration
• Develop reporting and operational tracking tools using Microsoft Office applications
• Lead, mentor, and develop team members while ensuring effective allocation of resources
• Maintain strong internal partnerships and cooperative working relationships across departments
• Prioritize multiple initiatives and ensure timely execution of operational support activities

Requirements

• 10–15 years of relevant professional experience
• 10+ years of industry-related operational or procurement experience
• 8–10 years of leadership or management experience
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience managing vendors, purchasing operations, and service delivery functions
• Financial and business operations knowledge with ability to support compliance initiatives
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Excel and reporting tools
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
