Dishwasher/Kitchen Helper (On-Call)

Cafeteria Employee

Cafeteria employees enable Church employees and temple patrons to focus on their most important work of bringing souls unto Jesus Christ by providing food services in a simple and affordable way.

This position exists to provide clean and sanitized dishes and cookware for the cafeteria and/or assist with other routine tasks.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and sanitizes dishes, cookware, or other kitchen supplies or facilities.
• Operates dishwasher or hand washes to clean dishes, silverware, glassware, and pots and pans.
• May organize and distribute cleaned and dried items.
• May clean other areas in the cafeteria.
• May be assigned to another routine task.
• Appropriately disposes of trash, including cooked or raw food items.

Refers complex issues to higher-level staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be able to understand and follow directions in English.
• Able to work well with other team members.
• Able to lift/move objects up to 40lbs. Able to do fast, repetitive motions, and stand for long periods of time.
• Able to work in wet conditions and in varied temperatures. Courtesy when dealing with others.
• Ability to obtain food handler's permit.
