Program Coordinator IIThe Program Coordinator II provides outstanding customer service, guidance, and leadership to all members and participants within the scope of the program of oversight. The Coordinator is reserved for a large branch with oversight to multiple programs/departments simultaneously. The Coordinator supervises a minimum of (20) twenty program staff and performs administrative duties to assist leadership in smooth operation of the department.Responsibilities include:Coordinating the organization and implementation of program detailsAssisting in purchasing and reconciliation of program expensesAssisting with the recruitment and hiring of program staff and volunteersProviding office support and performing other related duties, as neededHelping maintain participant data and oversee program registrationFollowing and maintaining standards, guidelines, objectives, and goals of the assigned YMCAManaging staff schedules and reconciliation of timecards for program staffAbility to adequately observe participant and member activities, enforce safety regulations, and apply appropriate policies and proceduresAddressing program concerns and ensuring safety of program participants and staffParticipating as a team player to ensure that the YMCA image and mission statement are upheldOther duties as assignedQualifications include:Minimum 5+ years' of experience in customer servicePrevious supervisor experience, including hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, coaching, and monitoringMust obtain and maintain all applicable certifications for the position, if neededProficient in computer and office administration skillsLicensing, state law and our government funders require that staff within YMCA of San Diego County be fingerprinted, prior to reporting to work, and include subsequent arrest notificationsCPR/AED, and First Aid Certification, must include Adult and Child/Infant, obtained within 30 days of hire and must be from one of the following certifying organizations:American Red CrossAmerican Heart AssociationAmerican Safety & Health InstituteYMCA will consider qualified applicants with a criminal history pursuant to the San Diego County Fair Chance Ordinance and the California Fair Chance Act.
