Job Description
Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery

Schedule

12-Hour Day shift. Must be flexible to work other shifts, weekends, and holidays, as needed.

Assignment Details

Guaranteed Hours: 36
Contract Weeks: 16

Requirements

• Must have a minimum of five years recent experience in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Newborn in a healthcare setting.
• American Heart Association ACLS or ALSO, BLS, NRP, and AWHONN Advanced FHM required. May substitute RNC-EFM for AWHONN FHM.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients in the Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Newborn units.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, including vital signs and fetal heart monitoring.
• Educate patients and families on care plans and procedures.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
• May function as a charge nurse after completing charge nurse training.
• Occasionally float to other departments as needed, performing related duties.
