Full-Time Nurse Practitioner or Physician AssistantWe are seeking a Full-Time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team in Spring, Texas. The work is engaging and varied, with a broad patient population and generally low-acuity presentations that keep skills sharp without the pressure of inpatient follow-up.Key ResponsibilitiesEvaluate, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages in an urgent care settingManage acute illnesses, injuries, and occupational health visitsOrder and interpret diagnostic studies, including labs and imagingPerform urgent care procedures such as suturing, splinting, and wound managementClearly communicate diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructionsDocument patient care accurately and efficiently in the EHRCode and bill services appropriatelyMaintain productivity consistent with urgent care benchmarksPractice in alignment with NextCare clinical standards and valuesRequired QualificationsMinimum of 1 year of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician AssistantActive, unrestricted Texas NP or PA licenseBoard certification: PA: NCCPA certification; NP: ANCC or AANP certification; FNP requiredActive DEA license or ability to obtainAbility to treat patients of all agesActive BLS certificationEHR proficiencyWillingness to work occasional weekends and holidaysDOT certification required or willingness to obtain; fees coveredPreferred QualificationsPrior urgent care, emergency medicine, or fast-track experienceStrong procedural skills, including suturing, splinting, and wound careExperience with initial x-ray interpretation prior to radiology over-readExperience practicing independently in a fast-paced clinical environmentAbout NextCareNextCare is one of the nation's largest urgent care providers, serving communities with accessible, affordable, high-quality care across 160+ locations in 11 states.
