Credit and Collections Specialist

Controlled Combustion is a diverse and stable 40‑year‑old full‑service commercial heating company comprised of over 150 employees. We are looking to add a Credit & Collections Specialist to our team. We seek candidates who want a workplace to grow and prosper. In this role you’ll be interacting with our customers daily by phone and email, providing superior service related to the current status of accounts, payments, and other concerns. You will also collect on our client accounts using your commercial collection skills to keep the process running smoothly for both the client and us. Duties Contact customers by phone/email to finalize collection of outstanding debts. Utilize judgment to analyze customers’ ability to pay and establish a repayment plan. Monitor outstanding balance against set credit limit and escalates when the limit is exceeded. Maintain accurate records and notes. Respond to daily account queries and inbound calls and settle customer disputes. Reprint invoices and statements if required by the customer to process payments. Identify areas of opportunity for optimizing results and improving customer satisfaction. Follow up consistently with customers. Work is in person. Must relocate to Bronx, NY before starting work. Requirements High school diploma (or equivalent) required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred. Minimum of 2 years business‑to‑business collections experience. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong attention to detail and superior time‑management skills.
