We are seeking an experienced HVAC Service Manager with a strong sales background to lead the day-to-day operations and continued growth of our HVAC Service Division.

The HVAC Service Manager is an integral part of the leadership team and is responsible for technician supervision, service department performance, customer satisfaction, sales growth, and overall departmental profitability.
The ideal candidate will have a strong HVAC service background combined with proven sales experience and the ability to identify opportunities, generate and close sales, develop maintenance agreements, coach technicians on sales opportunities, and drive revenue growth. This individual will also be responsible for improving processes, managing technician performance, supporting customers, and ensuring the department consistently meets company goals.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Direct the daily operations of the HVAC Service Division.
• Drive service department sales, revenue, and profitability .
• Generate sales leads and identify opportunities for HVAC repairs, replacements, upgrades, and additional services.
• Prepare and present job estimates and proposals to customers.
• Promote and grow maintenance and service agreement programs.
• Follow up on open estimates and sales opportunities to help increase close rates.
• Coach HVAC technicians on identifying customer needs and presenting appropriate service and replacement options.
• Track sales performance, technician production, average ticket, close rates, maintenance agreements, and other key performance indicators.
• Schedule, direct, and provide technical support to HVAC technicians to meet service demands and customer expectations.
• Maintain a strong focus on customer service and customer retention.
• Supervise and provide leadership to HVAC service technicians.
• Recruit, onboard, train, and develop HVAC technicians as needed to support department growth.
• Review technician performance and establish individual improvement and production goals.
• Review completed work to ensure quality meets company standards, technical requirements, and safety procedures.
• Conduct regular one-on-one and team meetings with HVAC technicians.
• Establish and maintain ongoing technical, customer service, and sales training programs for field personnel.
• Develop and monitor departmental budgets, revenue goals, sales goals, and profitability targets.
• Review work orders, invoices, estimates, and technician time reports for accuracy.
• Utilize ServiceTitan to monitor service operations, technician performance, sales opportunities, reporting, and departmental KPIs.
• Ensure required equipment and parts are ordered in a timely manner to meet service deadlines.
• Maintain and develop supplier and vendor relationships.
• Ensure HVAC technicians follow all company policies, procedures, and safety requirements.
• Oversee fleet maintenance and ensure service vehicles are properly maintained.
• Stay current on HVAC equipment, products, OEM training, service techniques, and industry developments.
• Coordinate manufacturer and technical training for HVAC technicians.
• Work closely with other department managers and company leadership to achieve overall company revenue, growth, and operational goals.

Requirements
The HVAC Service Manager should possess:

• Minimum 5 years of HVAC service management or related leadership experience.
• Proven HVAC sales experience with a demonstrated ability to generate revenue and close sales opportunities.
• Strong knowledge of residential HVAC service, repair, replacement, and maintenance.
• Experience generating estimates and presenting HVAC repair and replacement options to customers.
• Experience developing and selling maintenance/service agreements.
• ServiceTitan experience preferred
• Strong understanding of HVAC and refrigeration systems.
• Technical aptitude with knowledge of applicable codes and the ability to troubleshoot and develop solutions.
• Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills.
• Strong leadership and coaching skills with the ability to improve technician performance.
• Ability to manage sales goals, budgets, KPIs, and departmental profitability.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and assignments.
• Strong computer and reporting skills.
• Self-motivated with a strong desire for continued improvement and the ability to motivate technicians to improve their performance.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Strong closer with the ability to build trust with customers and lead a high-performing service team.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability and willingness to work occasional nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
