Overview Arnold & Itkin LLP is seeking a motivated File Clerk/Runner to join our file team in Houston, Texas. The firm is a leading trial firm in the United States with offices in multiple states. This position supports the file team by managing documents and assisting partners and associates. Responsibilities Run local errands for firm partners and managers. Read, scan, document, and distribute high-volume incoming correspondence. Retrieve, organize, and file client documents and files. Maintain document files using case management software. Assist with the movement of boxes weighing 30–50 lbs. Monitor inventories in the supply room, kitchen, and conference room set‑up. Assist with special projects as needed from trial teams. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as needed. Ability to lift a minimum of 30 lbs. Position Details Contracted position (90 days) subject to permanent hire. Competitive compensation based on experience and qualifications. Additional Requirements Manage a variety of daily tasks within standard business hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Ability to work in varying environments and be on your feet. Excellent oral communication, writing, analytical, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently, effectively, and efficiently without significant supervision. Ability to prioritize and complete numerous and complex assignments on time. Thrive on obtaining favorable results in a fast‑paced law firm environment. Willingness to work extended hours as needed to accommodate caseload demands. Proficiency with Office 365 suite, including Word, Outlook, and Excel, and ability to learn contemporary technology in law practice.
